Scooter Mart Announce New Rider Contests
The Scooter Mart Motor Fest announced rider contests for June 30 on Front Street with new attractions and classic favorites.
A spokesperson said, “Scooter Mart Motor Fest [presented by Bermuda Charge], the island’s premier celebration of bike and auto culture, is set to deliver an unforgettable experience on 30 June on Front Street. This year’s event is taking excitement to new heights with an array of thrilling new features, in addition to all the favourites that attendees have come to love.
“Get ready to be captivated by the rhythmic energy of the Warwick Gombeys, who will kick off the day’s festivities with a vibrant performance from 11:45 am to 12:15pm. The infectious beats and colourful costumes will set the stage for a day filled with adrenaline and awe-inspiring displays.
“Building on last year’s introduction of auto and marine attractions, Motor Fest is reaching for the sky and incorporating the world of aviation with BermudAir. Visit the tent to chat with the team about Bermuda’s premier airline, and enter a paper plane competition to win a return flight for two, to any of their seven destinations.
“Thrill-seekers won’t want to miss the Paradise Mobile Speed Test at 1.30pm, where participants can put their skills to the test on a mini-bike, negotiating a figure 8 circuit – the fastest rider will win a coveted iPhone 15! And for those who prefer a more leisurely pace, the entertaining CG Slow Race returns triumphantly at 4pm, challenging participants to ride 50 feet at the slowest possible speed, without putting a foot down, to win a year of free insurance.
“The newly added Scooter Mart Top Rider Wheelie Contest offers stunt enthusiasts a chance to showcase their riding prowess and compete for a top-of-the-line Caberg Helmet at 12.15 in the Action Arena. This adrenaline-pumping competition will put riders’ skills to the ultimate test.
“And for the children, there will be free remote control car and motorcycle games, with TQ Hobbyz co-ordinating the largest central display ever seen, in Number 1 Car Park.
“Alongside these exciting new activities, Scooter Mart Motor Fest will continue to offer all the beloved features that have made it a staple of the Bermuda summer. From stunning custom bike and classic car displays, to engaging vendor booths and a vibrant atmosphere, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.”
“We surveyed our participants last year, and there was a call for more rider entertainment.
