Video: Hawley And Smith On Final Preparations

Bermuda triathletes Erica Hawley and Tyler Smith have been putting the finishing touches to their preparations in a “chilled environment” in the picturesque suburb of Poissy – about 40 minutes from the centre of Paris.
The pair, who are making their Olympic debuts, were today [July 25] joined at their hotel by team-mate Dame Flora Duffy, who arrived in Paris this morning.

“It’s been our last holding camp, if you like, before the big event,” Smith told Bernews.
“It’s been great to get out here, somewhere a little bit more removed from the Games.
“We have access to training facilities and great roads for riding and running options. We’ll move closer to the race venue on Saturday.”
Smith, who races in the men’s triathlon on Tuesday, added: “I’m feeling healthy and have a ton of support with me, which is great.
“There’s been a lot of support from back home, and I appreciate all the messages.”
Hawley, who races the following day, echoed Smith’s sentiments adding: “We’ve been doing a mini training camp in a more chilled environment.
“The swim, bike and run have been more easily accessible than at the Olympic Village.
“I arrived yesterday on a delayed flight. It’s been smooth other than that. I’m happy to be here.”
