Motorcycle racer Aeziah Divine will ride in the R&G Talent Cup round four in the Monster Energy Grand Prix MotoGP at the Silverstone GP Circuit this weekend.

The 14-year-old will represent the Sencat Talent Team/Mortimer Racing – Victoria House Academy for the second successive round of the Moto3 class competition.

He raced with the team at the Brands Hatch GP last weekend in Kent, England, as a guest rider, gaining valuable experience on the circuit.

“The team bike felt amazing, and the track was fast and technical,” Divine said. “It was a tough weekend.

“I had to learn in a limited amount of track time. I also had to get used to the Sencat Moto3, which is set up slightly differently from my previous Microlise Cresswell Racing team bike.

“We knew this year would be a big learning year for me by stepping up to the British Talent Cup, but it’s been a great experience.

“I have to learn all the circuits over the race weekends while continuing to master the Honda NSF250R Moto3.

“The other riders in this class are quick and experienced on the bikes and the circuits, so every session I’m on track with them, I learn a lot.”

Divine competed in the first two rounds of the R&G British Talent Cup with the Microlise Cresswell Racing team; however, the team was unable to continue this season after the sudden passing of team principal John Cresswell.

Divine hopes to secure a few more entries into the class this season as a possible replacement rider for teams.

He is a recent recipient of the Department of Sport and Recreation’s National Junior Athlete Sponsorship and Elite Athlete Sponsorship awards.

Divine is sponsored by the Department of Sport and Recreation, Mailboxes, Aries Sports Centre, Butterfield & Vallis, AceBoy Sports Group, VIBE 103, John Carreiro Sr, and the Joaquin, Fray, and Marshall families.
