Jessica Lewis Prepares At Stade De France

Jessica Lewis put the final touches on her preparations for the Paralympic Games at the iconic Stade de France in Paris yesterday [August 29].
The 31-year-old, who competes in the T53 100 and 400 metres, joined her coach, Geoff Harris, and several other sprinters on the vibrant purple track.
The group’s primary focus was on perfecting their quick starts, a skill for which Lewis is renowned.
Lewis is set to begin her Paralympic campaign on Wednesday with the 100 final, followed by the 400 final the following day.
As Bermuda’s most decorated para-athlete, she will make her fourth appearance at the Paralympics.
Leading up to Paris, Lewis honed her craft at a pre-Games training camp with the Canadian para team in Barcelona, Spain.
Reflecting on her training, she told Bernews: “I’ll do everything I can to deliver a race [in the 100] I can be proud of.
“I was running some low 16 seconds in Barcelona on a slower track, so I’m hopeful it will be a PB [16.12] on a faster track.”
Lewis also had the honour of being Bermuda’s flag-bearer during the opening ceremony, held in the heart of Paris on Wednesday.
