BHS 2023-2024 I/GCSE Student Cohort Results
The Bermuda High School [BHS] has announced the results of its 2023-2024 I/GCSE cohort.
A spokesperson said, “49% of all I/GCSE grades awarded to BHS students this year were A*-A/ Level 9-7. This is well above the 21.7% achieved by all students in the UK [JCQ 2024]. Two students achieved all A*- A results. There was no grade less than a 5 in Biology, Chemistry or Physics, which is an incredible achievement. Students who undertook Economics didn’t receive a grade less than a B. All 26 students in Year 11 achieved a 4 or above in their English [Literature and Language] and Maths GCSEs.
“BHS is also happy to announce that through an exceptional opportunity, a Year 9 student was able to write her GCSE French [usually, this is written in Year 11] and achieved a Level 9, a top-level result.
Head of School, Ms Carol A. Swainson, remarked, “We commend our Year 11 students on their fabulous I/GCSE results. Their tremendous efforts, with the support of their dedicated teachers, made these outstanding results possible. We are very proud of their accomplishments.”
