Photos & Video: Cambridge Beaches Triathlon
[Updated with results] Ollie Hayward and Erica Hawley were crowned the male and female champions in the Cambridge Beaches Bermuda Triathlon in Sandys, Somerset, today [October 27].
Hayward was the male winner in the Individual Sprint event, finishing in a time of 58min 04sec, with Jake Smith second in 1:04:27 and Kevin Ronaldson third in 1:04:55.
Olympian Hawley won the women’s race in 1:00:19, with Maddie Durkin second in 1:05:01 and Lynsey Palmer third in 1:08:24.
In the Adult Team Sprint Distance event, Tri-Ing Our Best [Craig Munden, Stephen Ryan and Philip Woollins] won in 59:27, with Family Matters, featuring Olympian Tyler Smith, his mother Karen Smith and father Aaron Smith, coming second in 1:03:39.
Tri Again! featuring Marc Fullerton, David Friend and Mark Harkness were third in 1:08:46.
Neil MaGuinness won the Adult Try a Tri in 40:45, with Geoffrey Meyers coming second in 46:18 and Paul Tohill third in 46:25.
Abby Brewer claimed victory in the women’s race in 48:06. Laura Williamson finished second in 54:28 and Melissa Wylie coming third in 54:28.
In the Junior 11-15 race, Dylan Eiselt was the first male finisher in 33:51, with Jacob Wright second in 35:17 and Sanchez Smith third in 36:17.
Naomi MacGuinnes was the female winner in 38:48. Sofia Leclerc came second in 40:47, with Ella Shepherd third in 40:55.
