Imani Phillips and Gavin Manders claimed top honours at the inaugural National Pickleball Championships at the WER Joell Tennis Stadium at the weekend.

Phillips won the women’s singles title, beating Melisa Judd 11-7, 11-9, and the 3.5 women’s doubles final, teaming up with Sue Chiappa to defeat Judd and Patricia Mills 12-10, 11-9.

In the 4-0 mixed doubles final, Phillips and Matt Dragonetti beat Tom and Patricia Mills 7-11, 11-7, 11-0.

Meanwhile, Manders secured the men’s singles title, defeating Tariq Simons 11-6, 12-10.

In the 4-0 Men’s Doubles final, Manders and Michael Way beat Ryan Matchem and Mills 11-7, 8-11, 11-5.
