Premier’s Condolences To Green Family
“We mourn the loss of a great friend to Bermuda and celebrate a life which greatly enhanced others,” Premier David Burt said following the death of Peter Green.
Premier Burt said: “On behalf of the people of Bermuda, I extend my deepest condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of Mr. Peter Green. His legacy on our island and our people are marked by his unwavering commitment to Bermuda’s potential. His family’s investments, particularly in the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club, boosted Bermuda’s tourism industry and created a new standard for hotels in Bermuda.
“Beyond his business achievements, his quiet yet impactful philanthropy demonstrated his deep compassion and care for Bermuda and its people. A prime example of his generosity can be seen in the many Bermudian students who were able earn university degrees through scholarships awarded by Mr. Green and his family.
“We mourn the loss of a great friend to Bermuda and celebrate a life which greatly enhanced others. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, especially his sons Alexander and Andrew, during this time of mourning.”
