Mia Fishel Nearing Comeback From Injury
Footballer Mia Fishel is on target to return to training before the end of the year, according to her Chelsea Women team-mate Sonia Bompastor.
Fishel, whose father is Bermudian, underwent knee surgery in March after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury while training with the United States women’s national team on the eve of the Concacaf W Gold Cup.
Fishel, who was born in San Diego, California, joined Chelsea from Mexican club Tigres last summer, scoring once in ten appearances in the Women’s Super League last season.
Chelsea claimed a fifth successive title last term.
She made her senior US debut as a substitute in a win over South Africa in September last year.
