Ball Hockey: Spine & Sport Defeat ACT
The Bermuda ball hockey winter league resumed with Spine & Sport edging ACT 6-5 at the PCC Hockey Rink.
ACT took an early lead through Davinder Jaggers in the first period. Spine & Sport responded with a goal from Ross Rufiage to level the score, but ACT regained the advantage with a goal by Townie Jackson.
ACT extended their lead to 4-1 in the second period with goals from Ian Beaudoin and Satish Balendran. However, Spine & Sport pulled a goal back through Jeremy Estey before the end of the period.
In the third period, Spine & Sport’s Ryan Marshall narrowed the deficit, but ACT responded with a goal from John King to restore their two-goal advantage. Spine & Sport mounted a comeback with Jake Goldberg, Estey, and Marshall all finding the back of the net. Marshall’s final goal, scored in the last minute of the game, sealed a victory for Spine & Sport.
