Extension to Conclude the Electronic Communications Market Review

Having reviewed the request from the Regulatory Authority of Bermuda [the RA] dated 24 April 2024 and pursuant to sections 5[6][a] and 5[7] of the Regulatory Authority Act 2011, I HEREBY conclude that the RA has demonstrated good cause for grant of the waiver due to the challenges regarding information-gathering needs and resources constraints within the RA, GIVE my consent, to extend the period within the RA must conclude the Electronic Communications Market Review of the electronic communications sector as required under Pat 4 of the Electronic Communications Act [ECA] [section 23[6][a] of the ECA]. The said review must be concluded by 1 September 2025.
