Photos/Video: Van Crashes Through Wall
[Updated] A collision occurred in Southampton yesterday afternoon [Jan 28] with a van crashing through a wall. We have asked the police for information, and we will update if able.
Update Jan 30, 11.33am: A police spokesperson said, “Around 11:50am Tuesday, 28th January 2025, a reported single vehicle collision occurred on Middle Road in Southampton.
“It appears that a silver van driven in the eastbound lane of Middle Road collided with a wall, near the Rebecca Road junction. Apparently the driver, said to be a 41-year-old Southampton man, was unhurt.
“However, one of the van’s passengers, said to be a 29-year-old Southampton man, was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance, for treatment of injuries that were understood to be non-life threatening. No other injuries were reported. Both the van and the wall were damaged.
“Traffic in the area was disrupted for approximately two hours, until the damaged van was towed away.
“Any witnesses are encouraged to call 211.”
