2025 Four-Ball Championships Concludes
The Bermuda Four-Ball Championships concluded this weekend at the Port Royal Golf Course.
A spokesperson said, “The Men’s Championship division came down to a single shot, as the duo of Jevon Roberts and Oliver Betschart held on to their overnight lead to capture the championship by 1 stroke over James Godwin and Christopher Ford. Roberts and Betschart had 3 birdies, 1 eagle, 1 bogey and 13 pars to post a final round of 4 under par 67 while Godwin and Ford tallied 5 birdies and 13 pars to finish round 2 with a 5 under par 66.
“In the Ladies Championship, defending champions Tracy Burgess and Ann Symonds did enough in round 2 to fend off the rest of the field as they finished round 2 with an 8 over par 79. The veteran and youth combination of Kim Botelho and Darina Betschart made a charge up the leaderboard as they recorded a 3 over par 74 to leave them some 5 shots back of the winners. The pair of Tracy Nash and Carine Brule also finished 5 shots back of the leaders but were nudged to 3rd place on retrogression.
“The smallest division of the tournament was the Senior Men’s Championship Division, with joint overnight leaders Sheldon Chychrun and Arthur Jones holding off the challenge from Mark Ray and Michael Wells. Chychrun and Jones carded a final round 73 to go along with their first round 74 to capture the Senior Men’s title. The pair of Jeffrey Ingelman and Andrew Elliott surged up the leader board with an impressive even par 71 on the final day to secure the runner’s up spot.
