Teams Conclude Competition At Boston Festival

The final day of the Nike Boston Volleyball Festival saw Bermuda’s teams complete their competition at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center.

The Big Wave Riders under-16 boys’ team started the day with a 25-18, 25-20 victory over CSVC 16 Skylight. However, they fell in the Bronze Bracket Final to the Sportime 16 team [25-8, 25-23], finishing 17th out of 37 teams.

The Big Wave Riders under-14 boys’ team had a successful final day. They began by defeating SAVB Boys 14 France [25-14, 25-14] and then followed it up with a comeback win against the Husky 14 Pack [15-25, 25-15, 15-10] to win the Bronze bracket and finish 11th overall.

The Paradise Hitters under-16 girls’ team lost to OC Lady Elite 16 Silver [26-24, 25-21] and finished the tournament in 55th place overall.

The Paradise Hitters 14 Girls Blue team claimed the Silver C bracket title. They defeated the Asphalt Green VBC 14 team [25-17, 25-18] and then came from behind to win a thrilling final against the ASEVC 14 Premier team [22-25, 25-13, 16-14], finishing 13th out of 75 teams.

The Paradise Hitters 14 Grey Girls team lost their final match to the GSEVC 14 National team [25-19, 25-19], and finished 59th out of 75 teams.

The Paradise Hitters under-12 girls’ team also lost their final match, falling to the CALI 12 Black team [25-21, 19-25, 16-14], they would finish 13th out of 34 teams.
