Bermuda Concludes 2025 FEI Jumping Challenge

The third and final phase of the 2025 FEI Jumping World Challenge [FEI JWC] was held at the NEC on Saturday, 22nd March.

A spokesperson said, “The 2025 FEI JWC comprised of three separate jumping events. Bermuda held its rounds on 1st and 15th February and on 22nd March. The FEI’s Individual, Regional & World rankings are determined from the best results from two of the three events.

“In Competition #3, Abby Bardgett was the winner the three different jumping height divisions. Riding Causing Chaos, in Category A [1.20 – 1.30m], Abby Bardgett placed 1st with 13 faults and a time of 61.81 seconds. In the Category B division [1.10 – 1.20m] Bardgett, this time riding, Cruise Control took the top place with 12 faults and a time of 60.33. In Category C with a score of 4 faults and time of 56.36 Abby Bardgett and Up Up & Away placed first.

Overall Bermuda winners

“Below are the overall Bermuda winners. Placings are determined from the best results from two of the three jumping competitions earlier this year.

“In the Category “A” [1.20 -1.30m], The Aon Trophy was awarded to 1st place winner Jaylynn Hines & her athletic horse Toto D’ysenbeeck This team had a cumulative result of 20 faults and cumulative time of 116.39.

“In the Category “B” [1.10 – 1.20m] The Nightmare Trophy was awarded to lst place winner Abby Bardgett riding Cruise Control This dynamic team had a cumulative score of 12 faults and cumulative time of 111.01.

“In the Category “C” [1.00-1.10m], The Central Carolina Trophy was awarded to Abby Bardgett riding Up, Up & Away. This team had a cumulative score of four faults and cumulative time of 111.57.

“The aim of the FEI World Challenge series is to offer athletes who, under normal circumstances, cannot take part in international competitions the opportunity to compete internationally without having to leave their own country. Riders from participating countries compete over the same jumping course designed by an FEI appointed Course Designer.

“Judging the Bermuda’s third and final phase of the FEI JWC was FEI Level 2 Judge John Flisk of the USA and FEI Level 1 Judge Pamela Mahoney of Bermuda. Bermuda must now wait until the end of 2025 to discover its final and official standings in this year’s FEI JWC as competing countries have until 31st December in which to conclude their events.”
