Delta NetFest To Be Held On March 22
The Bermuda Alumnae Chapter [BAC] of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated will host Delta NetFest, a family-friendly netball tournament set to take place on Saturday, March 22nd at Bernard Park.
A spokesperson said, “This exciting event will bring together netball teams across the island, including Dandy Stars, DC Diamonds, Storm, Phoenix, and North Village Community Club.
“This year, the event will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and include age groups 11 and under, 14 and under, and 18 and under. Awards will be given to the Most Valuable Player of each age group, and the first and second-place teams will receive medals designed specifically for Delta NetFest, a newly introduced feature this year.
“Delta NetFest was developed in alignment with Delta Sigma Theta Sorority’s global commitment to health and wellness through the organization’s Physical and Mental Health Programmatic Thrust, which promotes active lifestyles and holistic well-being within its communities. Netball is a sport that encourages teamwork, discipline, and physical fitness, offering both mental and physical health benefits to players of all ages.”
This year, Ultimate Imaging, Ltd. has joined the event as the main sponsor, supporting the mission to encourage healthy living and community engagement.
Alaire Godfrey, Managing Director at Ultimate Imaging, Ltd., expressed excitement about the partnership, “We have supported Delta NetFest since its inception. Ms. Shawnette Smith, President of the Bermuda Alumnae Chapter, remarked, “Delta NetFest is more than just a tournament—it’s an opportunity to bring people together, foster community spirit, and highlight the importance of staying active. We encourage families, friends, and supporters to come out and celebrate a day of sport, wellness, and unity.”
