Masterworks Art Tour Heads To New York
After a stop in Miami last December, Masterworks’ art tour will be heading to New York City from May 7 to May 10.
A spokesperson said, “In December 2024, a group of local art patrons said the inaugural Masterworks Miami Art Week Tour ‘exceeded expectations.’ Thanks to art advisors Holly Mazar-Fox and Lisa Howie, the participants thoroughly enjoyed the itinerary, which was jam packed with art fairs, museum experiences, and fine dining. Next art tour stop: New York City from May 7 to May 10, 2025.”
Lisa Howie, Holly Mazar-Fox, and Risa Hunter at the INK Art Fair, Miami, 2024:
Art advisor Holly Mazar Fox said, “We noticed trends in the contemporary art scene that included experimentation with materials, textures, and the relationship between art and science and technology. We anticipate more of the same experimentalism in New York City, and likely a lean toward figurative artwork, or expressions of people, which continues to be a collector’s mainstay.”
Co-curator of the tour, art advisor Lisa Howie, said, “One of our goals in Miami was to ensure that the collectors developed a strong understanding of how to navigate the hectic nature of an international art fair week. Because our art tours balance art, cultural institutions, and fine dining experiences, our patrons can enjoy exclusive insights without being overwhelmed. Weaving in ‘chill’ time is as important as VIP access.”
Masterworks Executive Director Risa Hunter said, “As a participant on the Miami art tour, I can qualify that we were in expert, knowledgeable hands following a perfectly coordinated itinerary. It was clear that our curators were well-researched, well-connected, and thanks to their depth of market knowledge and boundless energy, we had a truly memorable experience.
“Much to my pleasure, our museum patrons have requested more information on the New York City tour being offered by Holly and Lisa this spring.”
The spokesperson said, “Discovering visual art talent from around the world, meeting artists, and discussing their projects personally, and enjoying five-star culinary experiences are the key elements of the upcoming art tour in New York City.
