Video: Boys & Conyers Win Cycling Race Titles
[Updated with PDF] Matt Boys and Caitlin Conyers claimed the men’s and women’s titles in the Bermuda Day cycling race today [May 23].
Boys, a former professional cyclist and defending champion, told Bernews: “It was fun, it was hard, it was fast. I absolutely loved it.”
Tyler Butterfield, who returned home for the race, and Jackson Langley, rounded out the top three.
Conyers, the island’s most decorated female rider, retained her title to become a three-time winner.
“It was different from past years when I’ve often attacked and gone off by myself because the women’s race started with the men this year,” she said.
“It was a bit more tactical this year, plus I’m not as fit!
“It’s really exciting to be a three-time winner. I’m still going for Nicole Mitchell’s record of four wins.”
