Football: PHC Zebras Defeat Somerset Eagles
The Bermuda under 23 summer league continued with a double-header at BAA Field, featuring two closely contested matches.
PHC Zebras defeated Somerset Eagles 2-1 in a group A fixture. Zakiyah Lee opened the scoring for PHC in the 22nd minute. Harlem Bean-Fox extended PHC’s lead in the second minute of first-half stoppage time. Somerset Eagles’ Zico Saltus scored in the 52nd minute, reducing the deficit, however PHC maintained their 2-1 lead through to the final whistle.
Wolves and the Dandy Town Hornets played to a 1-1 draw in their group B encounter. The first half concluded without a score. Torque Outerbridge scored for Wolves in the 65th minute. Treazi Gibbons equalized for Dandy Town Hornets three minutes later, in the 68th minute, resulting in a shared point for each team.
