Ministry Issues Two Road Traffic Notices
The Ministry of Public Works has issued two road traffic notices regarding reopening of Canal Road and Iron Kids Triathlon traffic restrictions.
A Government spokesperson said, “The Ministry of Public Works and Environment advises the motoring public of two traffic updates:
Canal Road in Pembroke Parish Reopened
“Canal Road, adjacent to Marsh Folly Road in Pembroke, has now been reopened to vehicular traffic as of Monday, 9 June 2025.
“This follows the completion of repair work to the bridge damaged during an accident on Wednesday, 22 May 2024. Motorists are advised to proceed with caution when travelling through the area.
Clarien Iron Kids Triathlon and Carnival – Saturday, 14 June 2025
“Traffic controls and road closures will be in place in St. George’s to accommodate the Clarien Iron Kids Triathlon and Carnival. The event will occur on Saturday, 14 June 2025, from 10.25 a.m. to 12.30 p.m., with affected roads including portions of Southside Road and Cooper’s Island Road.
“Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and follow any directions given by Police Officers present along the route to ensure public safety during the race.Please take a look at the attached Road Traffic Notices for more details regarding the reopening and the scheduled traffic restrictions.”
