Youngsters from the Hamilton Lions Clubs Cubs have visited the historic Fort St Catherine on St George’s Island.

The coastal artillery fort was built in 1612 and now houses a museum dedicated to Bermudian history.

“Today was an unforgettable adventure at Fort St Catherine!” read a Lions social media post.

“Our Cubs and their friends explored one of Bermuda’s most historic sites while learning about our island’s rich heritage.

“From climbing towers to exploring tunnels, the Cubs embraced the spirit of discovery with curiosity and enthusiasm.

A big thank you to Mr Paley, tour guide, and all the Lions, parents, grandparents, Cubs, and guests who joined us.

“Your support continues to make our programme strong and meaningful.”

The Hamilton Lions Club launched the island’s first Cubs programme, which teaches youngsters the joy of volunteering and the importance of helping others, in October 2023.
