Sailors Impress At California Regatta
Olympian Adriana Penruddocke and Sebastian Kempe wrapped up impressive performances at the North American Championships in Long Beach, California — the future sailing venue for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games.
Competing in the ILCA6 fleet, Penruddocke secured a strong eighth-place overall finish with 106 net points.
On the final day, she placed 23rd in the opening race before ending the regatta with a solid fifteenth, capping a consistent series in a competitive fleet.
In the ILCA7 fleet, Kempe, also eyeing a spot at the 2028 Games, claimed ninth overall with 94 net points.
His final day featured a fifteenth-place finish followed by an impressive fourth in the closing race — his sixth top-ten finish of the regatta.
