CG Hosts Third Annual Slow Race Event
CG Insurance hosted its third annual CG Slow Race at the 2025 Motor Fest.
A spokesperson said, “CG Insurance proudly hosted its third annual CG Slow Race at the 2025 Motor Fest 2025, drawing crowds of onlookers to the Flagpole at the high-energy event. What started as a creative approach to promoting road safety has grown into a fan-favourite competition, combining rider skill, community spirit, and a meaningful message: safety over speed.
“This year, the event featured the addition of an international exhibition round, bringing extra excitement and star power to the day. The round included superbike superstar and two-time Isle of Man TT winner Steve Plater, race team member Lawrence Ward, and Boston stunt rider Clutchup Corey, who also put on a thrilling performance for crowds in the Action Arena.
“The main competition followed with the familiar multi-heat format, including a clutch bike race and automatic ‘Twist n Go’ categories. The top riders from each segment advanced to the final showdown, a head-to-head test of precision on a 50 ft course, where the last rider to cross the finish line without putting a foot down claimed victory.
“Shawn Bremar and Rowdy Crockwell-Laurent faced off in the final heat, with Shawn claiming first place through flawless control and composure. Meanwhile, Ajani Lovell earned third place as the runner-up in the automatic ‘Twist n Go’ heat, securing a well-deserved podium finish. In recognition of his skill and safe riding, Shawn received a year’s worth of bike insurance from CG Insurance.”
Naz Farrow, CEO of CG Insurance, reflected on the broader impact of the event, stating: “With road safety continuing to be a critical issue, the CG Slow Race is designed to inspire safer driving habits in a fun and engaging way. Our continued support reflects CG’s broader mission to protect the well-being of our community and promote responsible driving across Bermuda.”
The spokesperson said, “As crowds grow and enthusiasm builds year after year, the CG Slow Race has become more than a competition. With strong community participation, growing international recognition, and momentum building every year, it has become a standout highlight of Motor Fest, delivering thrills, laughter, and a powerful message: slow and steady can truly win the race.”
