Single Vehicle Collision On Causeway

[Updated] A single-vehicle collision involving a livery cycle occurred on the Causeway.

The Bermuda Police Service said, “There has been a single vehicle road traffic collision involving a livery cycle on the Causeway. Police officers are on scene with traffic currently being restricted to one lane. Motorist are urged to use caution when approaching the scene.”

Update July 28, 2.50pm: A police spokesperson said, “Around 10:10am Saturday, 26th July 2025, a reported single vehicle collision occurred on the Causeway, involving a 50cc rental scooter.

“It now appears that the female rental scooter rider, understood to be a 41-year-old American visitor, was travelling in the westbound lane of the Causeway [out of St. George’s], but ended up colliding with the eastbound side of the Causeway wall.

“Police officers and emergency medical personnel responded.

“The injured rider was treated at the scene, before being transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for further medical care of non-life threatening injuries.

“The rental scooter was damaged.

“While inquiries were conducted at the scene traffic was temporarily reduced to one lane along the Causeway, managed by police officers, causing some delays for motorists in the area.

“Any witnesses, that have not already come forward, can call 211.”
