Christian Ebbin Helps Tulane Win Sugar Bowl

Bermudian sailor Christian Ebbin helped lead Tulane University to its second straight victory at the Sugar Bowl Open, as the team finished with 189 points across 14 races — 37 points ahead of runner-up Stanford.

The result was anchored by skipper Hamilton Barclay and crew Taylor Bartell in the B Division, who posted 37 points, the lowest score of any boat in the regatta.

In the A Division, Ebbin and Tate Christopher skippered alongside crews Sabrina Anderson and Hope Breslin, placing third overall with 71 points. Ebbin sailed the first eight races with Anderson before Christopher and Breslin completed the final six.

Two other Bermudians also had strong showings. Jordan Vieira and PJ Rodrigues represented Eckerd College, finishing fourth overall with 422 points. Rodrigues, competing in the A Division, ended with 107 points, while Vieira, in the B Division, tallied 125 points.
