Bermuda Netballers Defeat BVI By 47 – 17
Bermuda defeated the British Virgin Islands [BVI] 47-17 in their final round-robin match of the Battle of the Isles Netball Tournament.
The win gives the Bermudian side an impressive 4-1 record, with their only loss coming against tournament leaders Canada.
Bermuda established an early 10-4 lead after the first quarter. They extended their advantage in the second period, outscoring the BVI 11-5 to take a 21-9 lead into halftime.
The third quarter proved decisive, with Bermuda netting 15 goals while holding the BVI to 3, extending the lead to 36-12 heading into the final quarter. Bermuda maintained its momentum in the fourth, scoring 11 goals to seal the comprehensive 47-17 victory.
Finishing second behind Canada in the round-robin standings means Bermuda advances directly to the seeded semi-final. Bermuda will play the winner of the match between the third and sixth-placed teams this Saturday at 9 p.m. local time, with a place in the tournament final at stake.
