The seventh-placed Last Pins secured a major upset victory over the second-placed New Comers with a 3-1 win in Week 6 of the Second Spring Seniors Bowling League at Warwick Lanes.
The result halted the runner-up’s pursuit of the league leaders, Pinsplitters, who had a bye this week.
In other matches that affected the top standings the fifth-placed Star Lites defeated the third-placed Drifters 3-1 and the fourth-placed Blue Angels continued their solid play, defeating the sixth-placed Islanders 3-1.
