Liana De Medeiros Helps Toronto Place Sixth
Bermudian runner Liana De Medeiros helped the University of Toronto Varsity Blues Women’s Cross Country team secure a sixth-place finish in the overall team standings at the 8-kilometer Marauder Invitational. The University of Toronto accumulated a total of 156 points in the competitive field.
De Medeiros was the third fastest Varsity Blues runner in the 8km race. She placed 39th overall, crossing the line in 30 minutes, 2 seconds [30:02].
Fifth-year student Julia Agostinelli led the University of Toronto effort, continuing her strong season by finishing second overall with a time of 27:30. Rounding out Toronto’s top five runners were Sarah White [28:59], Kaitlyn Koyanagi [30:44], and first-year Madison Sparkman [31:08].
