Bermuda Netball Team Win Silver Medal
The Bermuda Longtails women’s national netball team claimed the silver medal at the Battle of the Isles tournament in St Eustatius and St Maarten yesterday [October 26].
They battled to a 61-32 defeat to regional powerhouse Canada in the final.
Jahkenya Trott and Zakiyah Durham scored 12 goals each, and Inshan-Nae Smith added eight goals.
The Longtails will return home as runners-up and with valuable world ranking points.
Earlier in the day, they defeated Guadeloupe 83-6 in their seventh match of the tournament.
