Video: Car Removed After Crashing Overboard
[Updated] “All occupants were accounted for” and transported to hospital for treatment after a car crashed through a wall on Harbour Road and landed in the water this weekend.
A police spokesperson previously said, “There has been a single vehicle road traffic collision involving a motorcar on Harbour Road near the junction with Belmont Road, Warwick. Details are limited, but the vehicle went through a wall and landed in the water below. All occupants were accounted for and have been transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment.”
Update 9.21pm: A police spokesperson said, “Around 11:55am Saturday, 11th October 2025, a reported single vehicle collision occurred on Harbour Road in Warwick, in the vicinity of Belmont Road.
“It appears that a car driven in the westbound lane of Harbour Road crossed into the opposite lane and struck a wall, ending up in the ocean below.
“Initial information indicates that the driver, understood to be a 38-year-old Warwick woman, as well as two child passengers, were in the vehicle. They were rescued by other members of the public in the area at that time.
“The Bermuda Police Service commends the actions of those who came to the aid of the driver and children involved.
“Following the collision, the occupants of the vehicle were medically assessed at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital and discharged later Saturday afternoon. Traffic was diverted away from the area for approximately three hours while the scene was processed – which included the damaged car being removed from the sea by crane and then towed away – as well as the attendance of Works & Engineering personnel, for wall/roadway remediation efforts.
