Collision Involving Motorcycles In Southampton
A road traffic collision — involving “two motorcycles and potentially a taxi” — occurred on Middle Road in the vicinity of Granaway Heights, Southampton, this evening [Dec 5].
A police spokesperson said, “Around 6:20pm on Friday, December 5, 2025, Police and other first responders were dispatched to a report of a serious collision involving two motorcycles and potentially a taxi on Middle Road in the vicinity of Granaway Heights, Southampton.
“Initial information indicates that the motorcycles were traveling in opposite directions when they collided. The taxi may also have been involved, but left the scene prior to police arrival. One of the riders is believed to have sustained a serious leg injury, while the other motorcyclist is reported to have suffered less serious injuries. Both individuals were attended to at the scene by emergency personnel and transported to King Edward Memorial Hospital for treatment.
“Police are currently processing the scene, and traffic diversions have been put in place. Motorists should expect delays in the area until the roadway has been cleared.
“Anyone who may have witnessed this collision, or who has information that could assist with the investigation, is asked to contact police on 211 at the earliest opportunity.”
