Fountain Health Appoints Monica Teixeira
Fountain Health Bermuda has announced the appointment of Registered Dietitian Monica Teixeira.
A spokesperson said, “Fountain Health Bermuda is pleased to announce the appointment of Monica Teixeira, BSc, RD, CDE, CBE, who joined the organization in October 2025 as a Registered Dietitian. Monica brings extensive clinical experience in diabetes management, bariatric care, and whole-person nutritional support.
“Monica holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from St. Francis Xavier University and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Human Nutrition from Mount Saint Vincent University, where she also completed her professional dietetic internship. She is a Certified Diabetes Educator and Certified Bariatric Educator, with specialized training that strengthens Fountain Health’s commitment to advancing metabolic and endocrine wellness in Bermuda.
“Before joining Fountain Health, Monica spent more than three years with Alberta Health Services, serving in both bariatric and diabetes specialty clinics. She provided one-on-one and group education, guiding patients through evidence-based nutrition interventions that support long-term health goals. Her experience has given her a deep understanding of the complex relationship between metabolism, weight, nutrition, and overall wellbeing.
