‘The Guild’ Wins Call Of Duty Tournament
Team The Guild delivered a dominant showing as they captured victory at the latest Call of Duty Esports Tournament hosted by Paradise Mobile and ESports Bermuda Ltd.
A spokesperson said, “Team “The Guild” delivered a commanding performance to win the latest Call of Duty Esports Tournament, hosted by Paradise Mobile in partnership with ESports Bermuda Ltd. The championship-winning squad – Sean Burgess, Chris Ahmed Hill, Denishun Furbert, and Daeshun Pitt – demonstrated exceptional skill, communication, and composure throughout the event, solidifying their reputation as one of Bermuda’s top competitive gaming teams.
“The tournament drew out several local players and spectators, creating a high-energy competitive atmosphere. There were some embarrassing moments, captured during the online Twitch stream, which the players all shared with sportsmanship and camaraderie that have become hallmarks of Bermuda’s emerging esports scene.
“Paradise Mobile, who generously hosted the event, shared enthusiasm for the wider vision behind ESports Bermuda’s development efforts. The company expressed strong support for the long-term goal of building one or more national esports teams capable of representing Bermuda on the global stage. The tournament was made possible through the support of Audio Visual Electronics, who provided TV monitors to help transform the venue into a professional gaming environment.
“The passion of the gaming community was unmistakable. One player remarked that he’s now reaching out to competitors around the island, telling them: “Bring your team and we can compete.” The players eagerly await the next Call of Duty tournament, scheduled for March in 2026. They also voiced excitement for other events, specifically requesting tournaments in Tekken, Street Fighter, racing titles, and additional competitive genres.
“ESports Bermuda Ltd. and Paradise Mobile have already begun planning several of these events for 2026, reflecting the rising demand and momentum behind esports on the island.
“This tournament forms part of ESports Bermuda’s broader strategy centered on three key pillars:
- “Tournaments & Leagues – providing regular, structured competitions for local players;
- “Player Pathways – supporting Bermudians in pursuing regional and international esports opportunities;
- “Community & Education – promoting digital learning, teamwork, and future career development through gaming.
“ESports Bermuda continues to advance these efforts as the island’s official representative to the Global Esports Federation [GEF], working closely with the Bermuda Olympic Association to strengthen Bermuda’s global esports footprint.
