Committee Of 25 Reveals New Logo & Website
The Committee of 25 [Charity #15] has unveiled its refreshed logo, modern website and newly created social media channels – a milestone as the organisation prepares to celebrate its 75th anniversary in 2027.
A spokesperson said, “Founded in 1951, the Committee of 25 has long been a trusted source of assistance and support for families raising children with medical, developmental or physical challenges. Guided by its mission to provide compassionate, needs-based financial assistance for essential medical equipment, travel and related supports, the charity helps children and families when they need it most – enabling them to participate more fully at home, at school and in their communities.
“In 2025, Co25 provided needs-based financial assistance to 35 children and young people, one of the organisation’s highest levels of support to date. These grants helped families access medical equipment [such as wheelchairs], adaptive technology and other supports and offset costs for oversees travel and accommodation for overseas care not available locally – easing both financial and emotional strain during moments of uncertainty.”
“Every family who comes to us is navigating a deeply challenging situation,” said Miriam Shaya-King, Chair of the Committee of 25. “Our responsibility is to respond with compassion, dignity and clarity. This relaunch strengthens our ability to do that – ensuring families know what help is available and can access it more easily.”
A spokesperson added, “The new website offers clearer pathways for parents, medical professionals and community partners to apply for assistance or make referrals. Updated membership and donor systems will also improve transparency and communication, allowing the community to stay connected to the organisation’s impact.”
“This modernisation honours over 70+ years of service while preparing us for the needs of the next generation,” said Jackie Maclennan, Vice-Chair of the Committee of 25. “Behind every application is a child, a family and a story. These improvements help us deliver support in a way that reflects our commitment to compassion, equity and accountability.” Alongside its digital refresh, Co25 has strengthened its governance structures, audit processes and long-term planning.
A spokesperson added, “Looking ahead, Co25 will launch the Committee of 25 Scholarship, supporting Bermudians pursuing paediatric-focused careers such as nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy. The charity will also roll out a year-long anniversary campaign, “A Legacy of Care, A Future of Impact,” highlighting its history, partners and vision.
“The public are invited to learn more or become a member by visiting www.committeeof25.org or following Co25 on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.”
