Ball Hockey: Mosher & Positive Image Win
A combined 32 goals were scored in a Bermuda Ball Hockey doubleheader at the PCC Hockey Rink, as Alexandra Mosher and Positive Image Dental secured victories.
Alexandra Mosher 11 Spine & Sport 7
Alexandra Mosher defeated Spine & Sport 11-7 in the opening game.
In the first period, Adam Mattatall, Dave Macphee, and Matt Mcphail, who scored twice, gave Mosher the lead. Kris Abramowski and Curran Trenouth scored for Spine & Sport.
In the second period, Christopher Merritt, Johnny Talbot, Trenouth, and Abramowski scored for Spine & Sport. Mattatall and David Campbell responded with goals for Mosher.
Mattatall added two more goals in the third period to finish with four on the night. Chris Hodgson, Mike Brennan, and Shannon Gosse also scored for Mosher in the final frame. Abramowski scored a late goal for Spine & Sport to complete a hat trick.
Positive Image Dental 9 Hamilton Princess 5
Positive Image Dental defeated Hamilton Princess 9-5 in the second contest, led by a four-goal performance from Josh Prodger.
In the first period, Hamilton Princess took an early lead with two goals from Mathew Benson and one from Richard Campbell. Positive Image Dental responded with three goals from Prodger in the opening frame, alongside goals from Donald Folkard and Chris Allington to take the lead.
There was no scoring from either side in the second period.
In the final period, Prodger added his fourth goal of the game, while Louis Sujir and Allington also scored for Positive Image Dental. Campbell scored two late goals for Hamilton Princess to complete a hat trick. Sujir scored again to secure the win for Positive Image Dental.
