Warwick Academy Relays Reach Finals
The opening day of the 2026 Eastern Interscholastic Swimming & Diving Championships produced two final qualifications for Warwick Academy at the Kunkel Aquatic Center, with Bermudian swimmers competing in preliminary and evening sessions.
The 13-member team advanced both relay squads to finals. The Warwick Academy women — Jorgia White, Allison Steynor, Sofia Leclerc and Elanna Fulton — recorded 1:49.67 in the 200-yard freestyle relay to qualify 20th. The men’s quartet of Axel Wernbo, Jamie MacFarlane, Zachary Johnson and captain Logan Jones posted 1:33.62 to qualify 19th.
In the men’s 200-yard freestyle, Jones finished 27th in 1:47.01, followed by Noah Fulton, Ethan Smith, Jacob Leclerc and Cameron Duda. White placed 36th in the women’s 200-yard freestyle, with Elena Bortoli and Sofia Leclerc also competing.
Elanna Fulton finished 46th in the women’s 50-yard freestyle in 26.49 seconds. MacFarlane and Johnson swam the men’s 50-yard freestyle. Wernbo placed 33rd in the men’s 100-yard butterfly in 54.14 seconds, and Steynor competed in the women’s butterfly.
In the evening finals, the women’s 200-yard freestyle relay team improved to 1:48.23, placing third in the C final and 19th overall.
The men’s relay team recorded 1:32.74 in the C final, also finishing third in the heat and 19th overall.
