The Bermuda Equestrian Federation opened the first leg of the FEI Jumping World Challenge at the National Equestrian Centre on Vesey Street. The event, the first of a three-part series, featured competitions across three divisions for Bermuda’s top horse and rider combinations.

In the Category C Division, junior rider Logan Flood completed the only faultless round of the afternoon. Riding at heights between 1.00m and 1.10m, Flood finished in 58.10 seconds to secure her first victory in the event.

In the Category A Division, with fences set at 1.30m, JayLynn Hines and Toto D’ysenbeeck Z recorded six penalty points but finished the course in 67.90 seconds, taking the top position in the division.

The Category B Division saw veteran Philip Correia ride Poker Face over obstacles ranging from 1.10m to 1.20m. Correia accrued four penalty points but completed the course in 57.76 seconds to win the division.

The second leg of the series is scheduled for March 28 at the National Equestrian Centre, with the final competition set for April 4. Results from all three events will contribute to the overall standings as Bermuda riders aim to qualify for the global FEI finals.
