Police Extend Condolences To Duncan Family
The Bermuda Police Service extended their condolences following the passing of Bishop Duncan.
A police spokesperson said, “Bishop Duncan joined the Bermuda Police Service in September 1982, serving until March 1991. During his time with the Service he was known for his strong sense of faith and commitment to supporting others.
Darrin Simons Commissioner of Police shared, “After leaving policing, Lloyd followed his calling to ministry, dedicating his life to serving the community through the church. He went on to become Bishop of the Greater Smith Hill New Testament Church of God.”
“Bishop Duncan also served the Bermuda Police Service as Police Chaplain for several years, offering spiritual support, counsel and encouragement to officers and staff during both challenging and significant moments in their service.”
“On behalf of the Bermuda Police Service, I extend our sincere condolences to his wife, First Lady Shanda Duncan, their children Shaloi and Joshua, his mother, Mother Duncan, his church family, relatives, and the many former colleagues and friends whose lives he touched. Bishop Duncan’s legacy of faith, service and compassion will be remembered by many across Bermuda.”
A police spokesperson added, “Please keep Bishop Duncan’s family and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.”
