Artemis SailGP is set to return to Bermuda nearly a decade after its America’s Cup campaign, bringing its Swedish entry back to a venue central to its history.

A spokesperson said, “Artemis is set to make its return to Bermuda a decade on, revisiting a location central to its high-performance racing history as Artemis SailGP prepares for the upcoming APEX Group Bermuda Sail Grand Prix, 9-10 May.

“Nearly a decade on since Artemis Racing last called Bermuda home during its campaign in the 35th America’s Cup, Artemis SailGP carries that lineage forward as part of the global Rolex SailGP Championship, representing Sweden and competing as the league’s thirteenth and newest team to join the ever-evolving fleet.

“Since entering the competition, the team has quickly established itself as a growing force on the circuit, blending its America’s Cup pedigree with a renewed focus on performance in the SailGP era.

“Artemis Racing’s history in Bermuda remains a defining chapter in the team’s story, with strong performances on the water and deep connections forged within the local sailing community. That foundation now continues under the Artemis SailGP banner as the team returns with renewed intent.

“The team arrives in Bermuda carrying strong early-season momentum, including a podium finish at the EnelRio Sail Grand Prix. That result marked a significant step forward and reinforced Artemis SailGP’s ambition to consistently challenge at the front of the fleet.”

Driver Nathan Outteridge reflected on the return: “Coming back to Bermuda feels like a true homecoming for us. The support we had here was unmatched. The energy, the passion from the fans – it’s something that’s stayed with all of us. There’s a real sense of connection to this place, and we’re excited to be back racing here as part of Artemis SailGP.”

During the 35th America’s Cup, Artemis Racing delivered competitive performances throughout the challenger series. The team progressed deep into the competition but ultimately fell short of reaching the final match, leaving a lasting sense of unfinished business that continues to drive its ambitions today.

Artemis SailGP CEO Iain Percy, who previously served as Team Manager and Tactician for Artemis Racing, added: “Bermuda holds a special place in the team’s history, and it’s great to return with so many familiar faces now part of Artemis SailGP. There’s a strong sense of continuity in what we’re building, but also real excitement about the direction we’re heading in. We’re focused on taking the next step and delivering on the potential of this group.”

A spokesperson added, “As Artemis SailGP returns to Bermuda for the APEX Bermuda SailGP, fans can expect world-class racing in one of the sport’s most iconic venues.
