Bermuda’s connections with Indigenous communities in New England will be explored in a forthcoming series from Connecticut Public.

The promotion for the episode — Titled Reconnection: How New England Tribes Found Family in Bermuda — states, “Explore the connections between indigenous peoples in New England and Bermuda by focusing on the story of Dominique Williams whose Pequot and Wampanoag ancestors were enslaved during the 1600s and shipped to the island. Centuries later, Dominique and her Bermudian community have reconnected with their tribal cousins in Connecticut and the Northeast.”

The episode will be broadcast this month on Connecticut Public Radio, CPTV and at ctpublic.org.
