One Injured, One Arrested, Vehicle Overturned
One person was injured and another person was arrested for “failing to remain at the scene of an injury collision” following a two-vehicle collision this morning [April 27] in Devonshire, which resulted in one vehicle overturning on its side.
A police spokesperson said, “Shortly before 9:00 a.m on Monday, April 27, 2026, police and other first responders were dispatched to a reported two vehicle collision at the junction of Palmetto Road and Dock Hill in Devonshire.
“Initial information suggests that one vehicle was positioned in the roundabout, attempting to exit onto Dock Hill, when a second vehicle traveling east along Palmetto Road entered the roundabout and collided with the rear of the first vehicle. The impact caused the first vehicle to overturn onto its side.
“The second vehicle continued along Palmetto Road but was later stopped by a member of the public near the incinerator.
“The driver of the overturned vehicle was assisted from the car by a member of the public and transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be serious at this time.
“The driver of the second vehicle was subsequently arrested for failing to remain at the scene of an injury collision.
“Witnesses are encouraged to call PC 2631 Carlos Shepherd on 211 or cshepherd@bps.bm.”
