Outerbridge Makes US Top 10 In Two Sprints
Bermudian sprinter Miles Outerbridge ranked among the ten fastest U.S. high school boys in two events for the 2025–26 season, placing sixth in the 200 metres and joint eighth in the 100 metres on the Track & Field News lists.
The super fast sprinter was honoured during the Bermuda Day Parade
Outerbridge, who attends Montverde Academy in Florida, recorded both times while representing Bermuda at the CARIFTA Games in St George’s, Grenada.
On April 4, he ran 10.21 seconds to win the under-20 100m final. The victory also earned him Bermuda’s national record, taking six hundredths of a second off the 10.27 set by Bermudian Olympian DeVon Bean in 1996.
Outerbridge returned to the track the following day and won his 200m heat in 20.54 seconds. Only five athletes on the U.S. high school list ran faster over that distance during the season.
