Special Olympics Bermuda Join Clean-Up Bid
Special Olympics Bermuda joined a plastic clean-up organised by the Bermuda Olympic Association at Walsingham Tuiste Park as part of a wider Commonwealth initiative to tackle ocean waste.
The event was part of a global relay of clean-ups taking place across Commonwealth nations and territories in support of the RCS Commonwealth Clean Oceans Plastics Campaign.
Participants from Special Olympics Bermuda took part in the effort and also met Bermuda Governor Andrew Murdoch during the event.
“A big thank you to our athletes, families, coaches and directors for participating in this important effort to keep our island beautiful!” the organisation said in a social media post.
The Commonwealth Games will be held in Glasgow, Scotland, this summer.
