“Tombolo Research is launching two new in-person AI training programs, led by Bermudian AI and robotics engineer Kameron Young, CEO and Founder, designed to equip individuals with practical, real-world AI skills that extend far beyond basic prompting. At a time when many are just beginning to experiment with AI tools, these programs aim to deepen understanding whereby showing participants how to apply, shape, and integrate AI into real-world scenarios.

“The two four-week courses titled, AI in Action [Beginner] and Applied AI Lab [Advanced], offer hands-on learning experiences tailored to meet the different levels of experience.

“AI in Action [Beginner] is designed for individuals ready to start using AI in everyday life, with no coding required. Participants will build practical tools and apply AI to real-world, Bermuda-relevant scenarios.

“Applied AI Lab [Advanced] is tailored for tech enthusiasts and forward-thinking professionals who want to move beyond surface-level use and explore AI through building, testing, and experimentation.

“Both programs are delivered in person, emphasizing collaboration, real-time guidance, and practical application.”

“AI is so much more than prompting. It’s about understanding how to shape it, apply it, and build with it,” said Kameron Young, CEO and Founder of Tombolo Research. “As a Bermudian woman in AI and robotics, I am passionate about representation. Here, I want to ensure more people can see themselves not just as users of technology, but as creators and leaders in this space.”

“After coming home from Dubai, I understand why many tech enthusiasts in Bermuda are looking for more in-depth opportunities,” she added. “My AI and robotics company is headquartered in Dubai so I am very accustomed to experiencing advanced tech in real time. I created these courses with this emphasis in mind. These courses are also designed to meet that need while simultaneously creating space to explore, build, and go beyond the surface.”

A spokesperson added, “Further, the courses will provide a supportive, hands-on environment where participants can build confidence and capability regardless of their starting point.

“Course Details:

  • AI in Action [Beginner]: Begins April 22
  • Applied AI Lab [Advanced]: Begins April 23
