Barnett And Medeiros-Cooke Finish 14th
Bermuda’s Benjamin Barnett and Braedon Medeiros-Cooke concluded their campaign at the fourth stop of the 2026 NORCECA Beach Volleyball Tour in Ciudad Madero, Tamaulipas, Mexico.
The pair finished in 14th place overall after competing in a classification match against Hayerling Francisco De Jesús Goris and Oscar José Martínez López of the Dominican Republic for 13th and 14th position.
The Bermudian team advanced through the preliminary pool stage before contesting the placement match in hot conditions on the Mexican coast.
In the opening set, the Dominican Republic established control early and took it 21-9, using strong net play and service pressure.
Barnett and Medeiros-Cooke improved their performance in the second set, producing longer rallies and stronger defensive play, but the Dominican pair closed out the match 21-13 to win in straight sets.
