Nia Christopher Scores Hat-Trick In Iceland
Bermudian footballer Nia Christopher scored a second-half hat-trick to lead FH Hafnarfjörður to a 7-0 victory over Selfoss, securing a spot in the Icelandic Cup semifinals.
FH Hafnarfjörður established a 3-0 lead in the first 16 minutes of the match. Ingibjorg Magnusdottir opened the scoring in the third minute, followed by a goal from Helena Errington in the seventh minute. Magnusdottir scored her second goal of the match in the 16th minute to close out the first-half scoring. The team extended its lead to 4-0 in the 59th minute on a goal by Berglind Hlynsdottir.
Christopher entered the match as a substitute in the 62nd minute. The Bermudian forward scored her first goal three minutes later, in the 65th minute, to bring the score to 5-0.
Christopher scored again in the 77th minute and completed her hat-trick in the 84th minute, concluding the scoring for FH Hafnarfjörður.
