Person Seriously Injured In Collision In Sandys
One person was seriously injured in a two-vehicle collision in Sandys.
A police spokesperson said, “Shortly before midnight on Monday, 18 May 2026, first responders were dispatched to the scene of a two vehicle collision involving a livery cycle and a motorcycle on Malabar Road in Sandys, near the junction with Kitchener Road.
“Initial information suggests the vehicles were travelling in opposite directions when the collision occurred.
“The motorcycle rider was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital with injuries described as life-threatening,. The male and female occupants of the livery cycle were also transported to hospital for treatment of what are believed to be relatively minor injuries.
“Traffic in the area remains at a standstill while police work to clear the scene and investigate the collision.
“Police are appealing for any witnesses to this collision, or anyone who may have seen either vehicle travelling in the area prior to the incident, to contact police by calling 211 at the earliest opportunity.”
