East Defeat West In BSSF All-Star Match

The East middle school boys’ team defeated the West 3-1 in the Bermuda School Sports Federation [BSSF] All-Star game held at Bernard Park.

The East utilized an organized offensive strategy to secure the win, with goals coming from representatives of three different schools. Cyme Dowling of Francis Patton Primary opened the scoring for the East. Remi Furbert of Whitney Institute and Cairo Burgess of Somersfield Academy also scored to extend the lead.

The West scored one goal during the match, courtesy of Kyron Bryon of Sandys Secondary Middle School. Despite late pressure from the West, the East defense maintained the lead for the remainder of the contest.

Individual honors were awarded to the top performers from both sides. Jasper Herrick of Warwick Academy was named Most Valuable Player [MVP] for the West after recording several saves in goal. Remi Furbert was selected as the MVP for the East following his goal and performance in the midfield.
