Mass General Brigham Visits Bermuda
Boston’s Mass General Brigham has wrapped an action-packed two weeks in Bermuda, culminating in a joint dinner with the Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre [BCHC].
A spokesperson said, “The event, billed ‘Bermuda and Boston: The Future of Care, Together’, was an evening of informal conversation and discussion, celebrating the ongoing partnership between the two organisations.
“Guests, including the Minister of Health, heard remarks from hosts, Dr Chris Fosker, Medical Director and CEO of BCHC; Dr David Ryan, President, Mass General Brigham Cancer Institute; and Dr Adam Feldman, Chief of Mass General Brigham Urologic Oncology. They also heard from, Darren Glasford, a prostate cancer survivor and patient who shared his health journey and his hope to encourage greater awareness of prostate health and PSA testing.
“In addition to the dinner, Mass General Brigham’s team hosted their usual water stop at the 39th Convex End-to-End on May 2nd and cheered on participants at the Relay for Life this past weekend.”
Dr David Ryan, President of Mass General Brigham Cancer Institute, said: “We are delighted to host this dinner with the Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre and to celebrate a relationship that has become deeply meaningful to both organisations. What makes this collaboration so special is the trust that underpins it, along with a shared belief that geography should never limit access to exceptional cancer care. We are honoured to stand alongside BCHC as they continue to deliver outstanding support for patients and families across Bermuda.”
Dr Chris Fosker, Medical Director and CEO of Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre, said: “Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre is committed to delivering high-quality cancer care locally, while ensuring patients can access leading specialist expertise when needed. Our relationship with Mass General Brigham supports collaboration, shared learning and care pathways that can benefit Bermuda patients. We were pleased to take part in an evening focused on the future of cancer care and continued progress for our community.”
