Bermudian motorcycle racer Aeziah Divine recovered from a practice crash to secure a points finish at Donington Park in Leicestershire at the weekend.

Divine crashed during the second practice session on Saturday at Craner Curves, causing damage to his bike and forcing him to miss qualifying and the opening race of the weekend.

“I am really sorry to the team for letting you guys down with this one,” Divine wrote on social media. “It’s not at all how we expected this weekend to go.”

After the bike was rebuilt by his team, Divine returned for yesterday’s race and started from 21st on the grid. He finished fifteenth.

“I pushed my way up six places but couldn’t quite get into the group ahead,” Divine said.

“Despite that, I’m happy to take another points finish. I want to say a massive thank you to the team for spending so much time fully rebuilding my bike to get me out again today.”
